Font Size?

Does my font look smaller to you? (Yes, I'm aware of all the joke possiblities. Go ahead if you must but please answer my question first).

Updated to add: It took me close to two hours to fix this problem! Ugh! It is so annoying sometimes. I couldn't find the problem so I had to replace the template and blogger isn't smart enough to just let you change the template, all over you additions and changes to the template get lost if you replace the template.

Yes, it looks MUCH smaller to me. I had to grab my glasses.

Sorry! I'm not sure what I did. I think I'll have to grab the original template and compare it with what I have now. Maybe I messed up a number somehow.

Oh, dear Michele! I know how much work that can be! I hope you had a huge sense of satisfaction when you completed the overhaul.

I don't messfool with my template because if I got it all messed up, I'd have no idea what to do to get it fixed.

I admire people like you who know tech-y stuff. We were talking about the importance of vocabulary the other day on my blog; for me, my problem is that I don't know enough tech language to be able to pose a question specific enough to get help! ;-)

I'm thinking of getting one of those HTML for Dummies books or something. Have any recommendations?

I don't use any books so I wouldn't know what to recommend. I just search on the Internet for the type of thing I want to do. I usually am successful. I don't have time for a book and usually find books like that unhelpful.

Kim, I have a leg up in all this because I have a BS in Computer Science and though I left the field to be a stay-at-home mom (right at the time the whole html stuff hit -- drat my timing), I can easily understand what's going on and that helps with the learning curve.

If you want help with your template, now's a good week to ask. You can email me the template and I can make changes to it and then you can put it back. You wouldn't have to mess with the code at all and I can change the font color of anything I do so you can see what I did.

As long as it's not too drastic! Adding stuff like a picture or other stuff is easy enough. I just figured out how to use bloglines to do my linked list. It's much easier to do it that way, you don't have to mess with the template and risk ruining it every time you add a name to your link list. Which is what I did, right when the RWN people were coming (blessedly it was at night when the flow was slowing down).

Firefox is very helpful as a debugging tool, so try that.

    How does it debug?

    Hi Michele,

I just found your response. What a generous offer! You are very kind.

I think the only thing I'd like to try someday is to put a picture in my banner. I have no idea what I want, but I do notice the pictures in the banners (I am especially drawn to the Reformed Chicks banner)

I am thinking of changing to typepad this summer when I have time to fool around with that kind of stuff. For now, though, blogger is fine and I think I'll just leave it the way it is.

[Blogger needs to have a subscribe to comments function, don't you think? Sometimes I forget that I asked a question or commented and then I don't remember to follow up. :-( ]
