South Park has a new target

So, have you seen this yet:

"South Park" has declared war on Scientology. Matt Stone and Trey Parker, creators of the animated satire, are digging in against the celebrity-endorsed religion after a controversial episode mocking outspoken Scientologist Tom Cruise was yanked abruptly from the schedule Wednesday _ with an Internet report saying it was covert warfare by Cruise that led to its departure.

"So, Scientology, you may have won THIS battle, but the million-year war for earth has just begun!" the "South Park" creators said in a statement Friday in Daily Variety. "Temporarily anozinizing our episode will NOT stop us from keeping Thetans forever trapped in your pitiful man-bodies... You have obstructed us for now, but your feeble bid to save humanity will fail!"
Very funny! Part of me wants to say, "At least it gets them off our back" but the other part of me feels bad for those whose beliefs are being mocked.

I know what you mean. It's hard to know how to feel about this one. You know though really, South Park is a show that needs to be taught a lesson or two. They are constantly mocking religion and celebrities - I'm surprised they haven't been sued yet.

I don't think they'll learn a lesson, they strike me as brats :-)
